After much uncertainty, Summer Institute returned in 2020! Check out what we offered last year…this coming summer—2021—will be just as exciting and fun!
Gorgeous warm days draw old and young alike to enjoy nature and the outdoors. Summer Institute, with a variety of activities for children, is a great way for kids to enjoy the outdoors while learning something new and exciting.
Last summer, we offered programs for young nature lovers, including Summer Stories, Nose to Nose with Nature, and Down a Garden Path.
From 2020: New, small-group programs for kids, Nose to Nose and More….EXPLORE! are planned for August. See details here:
Our partnership with the library was suspended for 2020 due to the novel coronavirus restrictions—but will resume in 2021:
The Institute partners with the Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library and the Blue Ridge Summit Free Library in their Summer Reading Programs. Kids who attend an Institute summer program receive a SECRET CODE to unlock points at the libraries! Prizes awarded to participants!
