Held in conjunction with Earth Celebration Day & Festival of Art. During the yard sale, visitors enjoy the thrill of the chase as they look for bargains or sell their own discards for extra cash. It’s a perfect market for buyers and sellers, and the institute makes money on the space rentals!

Waynesboro’s Fourth of July Jubilee Firecracker 5K Run has been cancelled this year. Scramblers can run, walk—or scramble—anywhere they choose!

Put on your running/walking shoes and join us as we “scramble” along the streets of Waynesboro during the annual Fourth of July Jubilee Firecracker 5K Race. We call our “sub-event” the Salamander Scramble, with team members securing funding pledges from friends, family, and co-workers. “Salamanders” head to the finish line on behalf of The Institute! Come and enjoy pumpkin carving, hayrides, bluegrass music, and a pumpkin-hurling trebuchet at this popular joint fundraising event. Great food includes the signature black bean soup, cider, homemade bread, and much more! Proceeds from admissions, pumpkin sales, and other items benefit both The Institute at Renfrew and Renfrew Museum and Park.
