The Naturalist Series of Outdoor Programs

First in a series of Appalachian Trail Hikes, planned for the last Sunday of each month, January–May 2022

Hike with us along a portion of the legendary Appalachian Trail! We are fortunate to live in an area that the Trail crosses through in several nearby locations.

Led by an Institute naturalist, the hike will explore some of the wonders to be found in the woods and along the byways.

Rendezvous point for the hike will be sent upon registration. Make sure to dress warmly for the weather.

The January 30 hike is for families with children age 10 and older. (Later hikes will welcome younger kids.)

This event is FREE (donations accepted).
Pre-registration is required; register via email at info@NatureAndCultureInstitute.org

A storm date will be determined later if needed.

COVID protocols in accordance with CDC and PA DOH guidelines will be followed. Masks are not required for outdoor activities, but are recommended when appropriate distancing (3 feet) is not possible.

The Naturalist Series is sponsored by Pam & Bruce Rowland.

Also sponsored by The Institute’s Today’s Horizon Fund contributors: The Nora Roberts Foundation, The John R. Hershey Jr. and Anna L. Hershey Family Foundation, Alma W. Oyer, APX Enclosures, Inc., and The Carolyn Terry Eddy Family: Carolyn, with daughters Connie Fleagle & Kim Larkin.
