Take a Hike

July 11, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

$4 – $5

Discover park trails and hidden wonders! Come hike the trails of Renfrew.

Hikers will discover park trails and hidden wonders, accompanied by institute staff member Kathy Seiler and others.

As they explore some of the less-traveled areas of the park, participants will learn about the natural world around them.

“We’ll hike trails called Great Blue Heron, Edmajoda, Salty Grimes and more, stopping along the way for nature related activities,” Sieler said.

The cost is $4 per child for Renfrew Institute members, and $5 per child, non-members. Pre-registration is not required. Hikers should meet at the visitors center at Renfrew Park 15 minutes early to register.

Underwriting support for this program provided by Today’s Horizon Fund Contributors: The Nora Roberts Foundation, APX Enclosures, Inc., and the Carolyn Terry Eddy Family: Carolyn, with daughters Connie Fleagle & Kim Larkin. Facility support is provided courtesy of Renfrew Museum and Park.

This program is part of Renfrew Institute’s “Summer Institute.” Check it out for more summer fun!

Parking is available behind the visitors center, or in Renfrew’s lower lot off Welty Road. In case of rain or for more information, please call the institute at 717-762-0373.
