This event was moved online due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The online program has reached maximum capacity. We’re no longer accepting registrations.

For a link to the recorded session, check back after Thursday on our website, or on The Institute’s Facebook page or Jones Geological Services on Facebook.

In partnership with the Franklin Co. Rock & Mineral Club

Presented by geologist Jeri Jones, the program covers life that once lived in Pennsylvania from the ancient seas 541 million years ago, up through the Ice Age ending about 8,000 years ago. Pennsylvania has fossils from ancient aquatic life—and from mastodons that once roamed the land. Fossils help to tell scientists what our area was like over geologic time. Free.
